Relax and peaceful strolls on Monte Bondone, surrounded by traditional Alpine landscapes.

Monte Bondone

Monte Bondone is also known as Trento's Alp. This complex mountain features traditional Alpine landscapes, from where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views on Brenta mountain range.
Apart from its four peaks - Monte Palon (2,090 m above sea level), overlooking Valle dell'Adige and the city of Trento, and the three Bondone Peaks, Monte Cornetto (2,180 m), Doss d'Abramo (2,140 m) and Cima Verde (2,102 m), which, amongst other things, are part of an integral nature reserve - Monte Bondone also embraces the vast Viote basin at 1,500 m a.s.l. A highly interesting biotope and leading botanic garden is located in the area and has been placed under the care of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences, endowing visitors with the chance to admire Alpine plants and flowers from around the world. In addition, the Centre for Alpine Ecology is located in the southernmost part of the plain, and is housed in a set of former Austrian barracks.
Monte Bondone is the ideal destination for relaxing strolls, mountain-bike outings and horseback riding, as well as a perfect venue for paragliding and hang-gliding enthusiasts. The Monte Bondone Skiarea is a highly popular skiing destination, and is fully equipped for both Alpine skiing and Nordic skiing.
