Moena Ski Alp
Individual night ski mountaineering race, organised by Bela Ladinia A.S.D., valid as the 26th "Ski Alp 4 Valli La Sportiva" trophy
The programme will start at 8:00 p.m. from the Lusia-Ronchi cabin lift departure station, at an altitude of 1,360 m. Here, the 200 or so registered athletes will immediately embark on the most demanding challenge: the first 650 metres of the spectacular and steep "Fiamme Oro" ski run, where there will already be a clear selection among the competitors. After leaving the ski track, the race continues uphill along the forest road that leads to La Rezila Rifugio and the Lusia Pass. After the fourth hairpin bend, it is back on the track again, in the locality of "Bait del Buro", for a 200-metre straight stretch that will test the athletes' endurance all the way to the finish, located in "Valbona". The course, 1,800 metres long with a total elevation gain of 470 metres, promises an exciting, technical and spectacular challenge, perfect for those seeking strong emotions under the starry Dolomite sky. In the case of unsuitable route conditions, the Organising Committee reserves the right to define an alternative route, modifying, if necessary, also the starting line, guaranteeing in any case an evening of sport and friendship for the participants.
Access to the cabin lift is free for all; following pasta party and prize-giving at Chalet Valbona, in the ski area Moena-Alpe Lusia.
Compulsory equipment: alpine skis, seal skins, headlamp. Registration fee (valid for both professional and amateur athletes): 4 races of the trophy - Ski Alp Cauriol, Memorial Maurizio Zagonel, Moena Ski Alp, Molino Caverson - with gadget 130 € adult; 80 € under 18; 4 races of the trophy without gadget 80 € adult, 40 € under 18; single race 25 € adult, 10 € under 18.
