Trento 1900 - Trentino artists. At the time of the belle époque: Cesare Covi on show until 16 April
Trento 1900 - Trentino artists.
In the belle époque era: Cesare Covi
The exhibition, curated by Alessandra Tiddia and Umberto Anesi, is the result of a collaboration with the MART in Rovereto, which has made some of the works available and provided the scientific contribution, the University of Trento, which has overseen the inclusion in the exhibition of a section devoted to Villa Gherta of Mesiano (the building above Trento owned by the institution, which houses an astonishing decorative apparatus by Covi) and the Department for Cultural Heritage.
A shy personality and an artist of rare talent, the exhibition reconstructs the profile of Cesare Covi from Trentino, on the 150th anniversary of his birth, through a selection of paintings from public and private collections, with an unprecedented comparison with the works of some of the great artists from Trentino who lived at the turn of the century, including Luigi Ratini, Umberto Moggioli, Luigi Bonazza, Benvenuto Disertori, Andrea Malfatti, Alcide Davide Campestrini, Eugenio Prati.
The exhibition can be visited until 16 April, from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 18.30 and on Saturday frome 09.30 to 12.30.
