The villages of Cribs
A tradition that tells stories, identities and artisan skills
Works of art of rare beauty to be discovered by strolling through the historic centers of the villages of Vallagarina among hidden and wonderful corners that frame the most beautiful representations of the Nativity.
- Pomarolo | 8 Decembrer – 6 January
The village of Pomarolo celebrates Christmas by celebrating tradition. An itinerary to discover the oldest and most evocative places in the village is waiting for you: courtyards, porticoes, windows and fountains decorated with many different nativity scenes, built with natural and recycled materials, which are the result of the work and passion of its inhabitants.
- Ronzo Chienis | 9 – 16 December
During December, with “Waiting for Christmas”, an initiative realised by the SAT Val di Gresta Section, associations and local producers, the municipality of Ronzo-Chienis proposes to recreate the Christmas atmosphere typical of mountain villages in the streets and courtyards of the village and, in collaboration with local realities, to promote typical local products.
- Volano | 16 – 23 December
Stalls selling local handicrafts and food and wine products will warm up the charming courtyards of the houses in the old town and visitors will be able to enjoy typical local dishes, chestnuts, sweets and drinks. A fun Christmas Village for children will come alive with events and entertainment for children and adults alike. New this year: a 360° animated projection that will bring the facades of the buildings in the historic centre to life. Moreover, unique in Vallagarina, as in a carnival, fathers and mothers will entertain passers-by with costumes as elves, Santa’s helpers.
