Sounds of the Dolomites: Paolo Conte Legacy

Sounds of the Dolomites is a unique event. A music festival at high altitude that brings together musicians from all over the world in the most beautiful mountains of the Alps. The idea behind this initiative is simple: to combine the great passions for music, art and the mountains in a cycle of concerts under the banner of freedom and nature.

Sounds of the Dolomites: Paolo Conte Legacy. Fuciade Rifugio (San Pellegrino Pass), Wednesday 25 September at 2 p.m.

Programme: the Fuciade Rifugio will form the backdrop to a tribute "without words" to one of Italy’s greatest singer-songwriters. Paolo Conte himself is promoting this instrumental initiative starring some of the most sophisticated musicians on the Italian scene and beyond, who have been part of his orchestra for more than 30 years. Massimo Pitzianti has been arranging music for the Asti-born singer and pianist’s international tours for decades. He was eager to showcase the musical side of Paolo Conte’s songs, which he has always prioritized over the lyrics, hiding nods to classic masterpieces in each track and often including a jazz flavour. Rather than simply performing covers, the Paolo Conte Legacy is about highlighting all of the harmonious and stylistic riches in the legendary artist’s songs. 

How to get to the Fuciade Rifugio:

• from Moena, by car to San Pellegrino Pass (parking), then on foot along a forest road (50 mins, difference in altitude 50 m, difficulty E - easy)

Participation is free of charge. We suggest to reach the venue at least one hour before the scheduled time. Adequate high-altitude clothing recommended.

The concert is accessible for people with motor and sensory disabilities. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5.30 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall of the "La Gran Ciasa" community building in Soraga. Free tickets distributed at the theatre box office from 3.30 p.m. until sold out.
