Experiencing the mountain at 360°: earth, rock and sky
This sport originated from the desire of some paragliding pioneers to seek out the highest possible point in the mountains to launch themselves.
THE DISCIPLINE
The ascent to the mountain and the subsequent descent by sail are the the fundamental ingredients of the discipline. This implies a high level of preparation of the athlete in both flying and physical skills. What differentiates Hike & Fly from common paragliding is the fact that the pilot reaches the launching points independently, with the aim of experiencing the experience both on the ground and in the air; the materials used in the construction of the sails are created with a view to being light to carry given the mountaineering commitment required.
THE EVENT
During the weekend of 6 and 7 July 2024, a stage of the Hike & Fly Italian League circuit will be staged, which includes events in Italy's top locations for paragliding. The launch is scheduled to take place at Alpo di Bondone with a landing at the Idroland Fly Zone, on the shores of Lake Idro.
