From words to bronze
An installation dedicated to the history of the Monument to Dante Alighieri
An installation dedicated to the history of the Monument to Dante Alighieri, to the park that houses it, and to the relationship with other civil monuments erected in the transition between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
In 2021 Dante Alighieri is celebrated above all because 700 years have passed since his death. Trento also celebrates another anniversary: 125 years of the monument that was dedicated to the Poet of the Divine Comedy.
The Trentino history museum Foundation, in collaboration with the Councillorship Responsible for Culture and Tourism of Trento, has organised a series of initiatives that enhance the history of the city, and offer new opportunities for citizens to meet.
Among these, the exhibition curated by Elena Tonezzer proposes a dialogue between photographs and historical documents; the project Dante Fluttuante by artist Angelo Demitri Morandini, dedicated to the language of the Divine Comedy.
