DoloMyth Run 12K Trail
In addition to the classic Canazei-Piz Boè, the DoloMyths Run expands with a new "only up" competition on a 12 km route from Canazei to Fedaia Pass
For an entire weekend, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July, Canazei becomes the Alpine capital of mountain running with the DoloMyths Run. For the 26th edition, the famous race, part of the prestigious Golden Trail National Series circuit, changes format once again. The Organising Committee is once again proposing multiple challenges, over different distances and routes, to meet the demands of a pool of enthusiasts that grows larger every year. After Saturday's 5 a.m. start of the DoloMyths Run Fassa Trail, it is the turn of the DoloMyths Run 12K Junior: 12 kilometres, 800 metres of positive height difference and a time limit of 3 hours to cross the finish line.
After the start in Canazei (10 a.m.), competitors will head towards Alba, Penìa and "Pian Trevisan". From here they will follow the old Austro-Hungarian military mule track (no. 619), dug into the rock by Russian prisoners during World War I. Passing first through the forest, then between the characteristic "Ciamorciaa" potholes, the runners will reach "Col de Baranchie" and finally cross the rocky slopes at the foot of the Marmolada in an easterly direction. Finally, they will reach Fedaia Lake, where the finish line is located.
The international success of Canazei's skyrace is also linked to the efficient organising committee headed by Diego Salvador and the support of a sports company of excellence such as Salomon. Around the races on Saturday and Sunday, there will be other folkloristic and gastronomic events for a weekend of racing festivities.
