There is a place in Trentino from which you can see some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites. From Latemar to the Brenta Dolomites, from Marmolada to Pale di San Martino. Its name is Cima d'Asta and it is the highest point of in the unspoilt Lagorai chain in eastern Trentino.
Getting up there is only for experts with the right equipment. If you don't belong to this category, however, there are other views that are easier to conquer.
Just a stone's throw from Trento, on the Altopiano di Piné, you can look down over the Serraia and Delle Piazze lakes from above, from the saddle of your mountain bike. Or, just a short distance from Rovereto, there is a sheer drop with views of Lake Garda that you can conquer with a walk through the untamed nature of Monte Baldo.
Children, on the other hand, can walk along fairy-tale trails in the woods that embrace Lavarone, in Alpe Cimbra, and reach the huge dragon that guards the valley with its emerald eyes.
