Experience the wonders of the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta
Find out about this summer’s main activities and initiatives
SUMMER - If you are looking for a peaceful spot where you can walk, breathe in the fresh air and come away steeped in a sense of well-being, the Parks of Trentino are the perfect place for you. In particular, we’d like to tell you about the flora and fauna in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta (the largest nature park of its kind in Trentino) and the two main activities that are due to take place there this summer.
Numerous wild animals of all sizes live in the park, including red deer, roe deer, chamois, eagles, Alpine ibex, foxes, badgers, marmots and ptarmigans. No fewer than 1,300 different species of plants can be found in the area, including extremely rare flowers such as Gymnadenia buschmanniae.
The park was founded in 1967 and it is home to the majestic Brenta Dolomites, the Adamello-Presanella glaciers at 3,000 metres above sea level, enchanting Alpine lakes, and woods of European spruce, larch and stone pine trees.
In addition, in 2008 it was named a UNESCO Global Geopark because of its invaluable, extremely rare geological and geomorphological heritage, which is of great scientific interest.
Check out the two main activities to do this summer.
Watch a film in silence at the Cinema Solare Silenzioso
Visit Italy’s first ever cinema in a forest! As part of an initiative that is designed to have no impact on the environment and the natural world, there will be seven special silent evening screenings in different parts of the park this summer.
Electricity will be supplied by an eco-friendly photovoltaic system and all of the members of the audience will be provided with headphones so that they can listen without disturbing the wildlife. It will be a unique opportunity to experience the enchanting, fragrant atmosphere in the woods at night.
Explore three gems in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta
