The Giro d’Italia comes to Trentino

A day of celebration to cheer on the great champions of cycling

This year, the Giro d’Italia — scheduled to take place from 4 to 26 May 2024 — is coming to Trentino, as the backdrop to stage 17 (Selva di Val Gardena to Brocon Pass) as well as the starting point for stage 18 on the following day (Fiera di Primiero to Padua).

First up, stage 17 is scheduled for Wednesday 22 May and has been defined by Vincenzo Nibali as the key stage of the Giro: after departing from Selva di Val Gardena, cyclists will immediately climb the Sella Pass before descending through Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme as far as Predazzo. From here, the group will continue in the direction of the Rolle Pass, which they must cross before descending as far as Fiera di Primiero. Finally, they will climb the Gobbera Pass and then the Brocon Pass twice to reach the finish line. The next day, Thursday 23 May, the race will resume from Fiera di Primiero in the direction of Padua, passing through the town of Imer and coasting Lake Schener at the foot of Monte Croce.
