Giro d'Italia climbs - Costalunga/Carezza Pass
After passing the village of Vigo and its characteristic hamlets (Larcionè, Valongia, Tamion), you face the ascent of the Costalunga Pass with a constant gradient. Do not be distracted by the panoramic view of the entire valley. It is recommended to continue the route to the famous Lake Carezza.

Starting from Vigo and following state road no. 241 (S.S. 241), in just over 9 km (of which 6.5 km without flat stretches), you reach the Costalunga/Carezza Pass. The elevation to overcome is concentrated in the first 6 km with an average gradient of 6.7%. After leaving the village and crossing the bridge over the Rio Vael, the climb starts registering stretches at 8-9% up to the junction for the suggestive hamlet of Tamion, with numerous hairpin bends. From the sixth kilometer, the road begins to flatten and then becomes almost flat from the Chiusel locality, from where the view opens towards the Monzoni Group, the San Pellegrino Valley, Latemar, and the Catinaccio.

Return along the same route or possibility to continue towards Passo Nigra or in the direction of Nova Levante, following the Giro delle Dolomiti routes.
