Folgarida-Marilleva, Peio, Passo Tonale
Skiing, excitement and fun in the largest ski area in Trentino
Visit a ski area with last generations facilities and slopes so that you can experience sport on the snow without interruption, on the Brenta Dolomites, in the Adamello range between the Presena glacier and Passo Tonale, amidst the impressive setting of the Ortles-Cevedale group in the wild Val di Peio. This is Val di Sole, the valley of the sun!
Val di Sole represents one of the largest ski areas in west Trentino thanks to the fact it has three of them: the brand new Dolomiti Di Brenta Skiarea (Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, with 150km of slopes reaching up as high as 2,500m in altitude), the Passo Tonale Skiarea (the Presena glacier at 3000m, with 60km of downhill slopes can be skied down during many months of the year) and the Peio Skiarea , in the Stelvio National Park, with tracks suitable for all skiers. Together they form a true paradise for Alpine skiing and snowboarding. All the skiareas in the valley are run in conjunction with the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta.
There are also great opportunities to practise Nordic skiing along the 55 km of slopes in the various cross-country ski centres in the valley. The numerous ski mountaineering routes and the snowshoe walks, mostly in the side valleys within the Stelvio National Park, like Val di Pejo and Val di Rabbi, will please anyone who loves doing sport right in the heart of nature.
An efficient and free skibus service connects the towns with the slope accesses, which you can also reach by using the Dolomite Express train + ski service from Trento to Daolasa. One more reason to take the train is that the fares are included in the price of the skipass
