Famous for having been the site of a battle between the Italian army under Garibaldi and the Austrians in 1866, today Bezzecca is a popular relaxation holiday destination in unspoilt natural surroundings. Interesting sights include the park on the Colle Ossario di S. Stefano, a World War I cemetery on the slopes of a hill, where a Path of Peace has been laid out along the trenches, and the numerous sundials and frescoes that adorn the walls of the houses in the town centre.
