Campiglio Ski Area News 2025/2026

The “Ideal Number” project: the resort is setting new standards by optimizing skier flow and limiting the number of daily ski passes during peak periods such as New Year’s and Carnival.  On certain high season days the ski area will open earlier, between 7:30 and 8:00.

Belvedere-Rodella Ski Area: brand new 3S Campitello-Col Rodella lift Belvedere-Rodella Ski Area: new ten-seater Lezuo gondola lift from Pont de Vauz to Sas Becè (Sellaronda). Carezza Dolomites Ski Area: new ten-seater Franzin gondola lift San Pellegrino Ski Area: Cima Uomo two-seater chairlift will be replaced with a new four-seater lift.

Latemar Dolomites–Pampeago: new 10-seater Latemar gondola replaces historic chairlift.  Obereggen: new Absam Stube and 6-seater Absam-Maierl chairlift unveiled. Bellamonte Alpe Lusia: new car park and safer Fraina toboggan run. Cavalese – Alpe Cermis: renovated Paion mountain hut with panoramic Dolomite views. Passo Oclini: upgraded snowmaking system.

Alpe Cimbra: Folgaria & Lavarone

The new Francolini–Sommo Alto gondola is scheduled to open in December 2025.

Work is progressing on the new Francolini–Sommo Alto gondola on Alpe Cimbra, replacing the old 1970s chairlift. The 2.8 km, 8-minute Leitner lift connects Francolini (1,178 m) to Sommo Alto (1,620 m) with spacious 10-seat cabins. From the top, skiers can reach slopes like Salizzona and Francolini, now upgraded with TechnoAlpin snowmaking. Open year-round, the gondola will also serve hikers, cyclists, and families, offering easy access to Lake Coe, Base Tuono, and Monte Maggio.

San Martino di Castrozza & Passo Rolle

San Martino di Castrozza-Passo Rolle Cable Car Project Advances Toward 2027 Opening

Preparatory works are underway this autumn for the new San Martino di Castrozza–Passo Rolle cable car, set to open in the 2027–28 winter season. The 1.65 km line will feature five stations, a 500 m elevation gain, and 10-seat gondolas carrying up to 1,500 passengers per hour. A new panoramic ski run from Malga Fosse to Prà delle Nasse is also planned, while road upgrades on the SS50 are nearly complete, improving winter access to the area.

The 2025 edition of the Piolets d’Or will be held for the second time in San Martino di Castrozza, in Trentino, from December 9th to 12th!

Trento Christmas Markets: from November 21 until January 6, 2026

The Trento Christmas Market with its characteristic little houses is located in the heart of the city, in Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra. For the little ones, a must-see is Piazza Dante, with its Enchanted Father Christmas Village.  After a stroll through the Christmas Markets, just a half-hour drive takes you to the ski slopes of Monte Bondone — perfect for cross-country skiers and downhill beginners.

Rovereto & Vallagarina

Christmas in Rovereto: from November 22 until January 6, 2026

The city of Rovereto will host the traditional Christmas market stalls of the Christmas Village where visitors can buy local handicrafts and enjoy a cup of spiced mulled wine as well as traditional dishes and sweets. The Children’s Village in Largo Vittime delle Foibe and the Elves’ Village in Piazza Malfatti also make their return this year.
