Tour 1438 - 8bello del Peller: the double loop at Mount Peller
Explore the Brenta Mountain Range with – this great tour of Mount Peller, which consists of a long and difficult ascent and countless downhill runs.
The double loop we have planned forms an eight which links the tough ascent from Tueno to the Le Fraine Pass and over the Malga Tassulla to the Forcola Pass, with the up and down slopes across meadows and woods all the way back to Cles. The tour requires plenty of energy, incredible stamina, as well as a lot of experience on trails and concentration all the way to the end. For this you will enjoy a tremendously exciting ride on the Peller mountain side.

Tips and suggestions
The Malga Tassulla, just before the Forcola Pass, is open in summer. Stopping at the Peller mountain hut for a break is an option worth considering.Roadbook
To go from the Non Valley to Mount Peller there are two possibilities: the normal route which runs uphill from Cles on a fairly good road, and a lesser known alternative with steep ascents in some sections from the village of Tuenno.
From the centre of Tuenno head west towards the Brenta Dolomites mountain bike trail. The initial ascent takes you through apple orchards to the parking area at Splazoi (km 1.2), which is the flat part of the DBB towards Cles. At km 2.1 leave this route and head left. From now on there will be ascents up to the Agriturismo Pra de Dont (km 4.3). Continue up to the Le Fraine Pass (km 9.4). Here the route rises steeply to the left towards Mount Peller. After one kilometre you will reach a fork by the small lake of Dorigat (km 10.4) leading to the Peller mountain chalet. Turn left onto track 336 which only goes up to the Malga Tassulla, where, after passing through the crossing, you will go up an initially steep slope, where you may have to push your bike. Finally, at km 11.3, the trail is flat and you can ride the remaining 100 metres to the top of the Malga Tassulla (km 13.1) enjoying the views of the surrounding area, the Tovel Valley, and the Brenta Mountain Range. A few metres past the grazing land, a narrow trail branches off on the right hand side of the main track to the Nana Valley towards Joch. This area is partly covered in cattle tracks and cow pats, and you might mistakenly go the wrong way and find yourself riding along a cattle track. However, don't be disappointed, the right track is just a few metres away. At km 14.0 you will reach the highest point of the tour at the Forcola Pass. On the north side of the track down to Lake Salare there is a gentle trail to start off with, which then turns into an alpine trail up to the Malga di Clesera. At km 16.1, turn right at the fork and ride past the Malga for a few metres (km 16.4). This track runs along the north side of Mount Peller towards the mountain chalet with the same name. But just after the right bend, at km 17.0, you should take the grassy dirt track which runs parallel to the long path leading to the turn off for Pozza de la As (km 20.3). At the same height the path goes further towards the Le Fraine Pass (km 22.5), where our track leads you back to the main road. From here head north and continue for 2.5 km on slightly hilly terrain descending again to the Verdè parking and picnic area (km 25.0). Here you can leave the main road and follow the path downhill into the woods and fields. The trail is unmarked at times, so you need to keep track of the route. On the track 313B (Sentiero della Bepina) and the technically demanding Sentiero della Lasta (373) you will almost always ride down single tracks, until you come across the path to the Dolomiti Brenta Bike-Route (km 31.0). A short section of the track 373 is rocky with S3 level of difficulty. Once you get to the Ciaretar crossroads at the DBB, ride downhill along the small trail towards Tuenno, which can be reached shortly afterwards.
