Val di Fassa Running

After a year's break, one of the most popular foot races is back, with a new organisation: 5 days of competition for a total of 50 km in which professionals and amateurs challenge each other

The stage race of Val di Fassa is back on the sporting calendar with its traditional format: five stages, from 6 to 12 km, each day in a different location, for a total of 50 km of rolling hills, descents and challenging climbs. From 22 to 27 June, competitors will challenge each other on spectacular routes that cross the most evocative corners of the valley, with the highly anticipated Dolomite stage on Friday to close the week: a pure mountain stage, starting in the village and finishing at high altitude.

After a year's break, the event is back with a new organisational team led by Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi, a group that involves the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, the cableway consortia and the most important local organising committees, with the aim of promoting the most important sporting events in the area.

Val di Fassa Running isn't just for runners: Nordic walking enthusiasts can follow the same route with poles, experiencing the challenge at a more sustainable pace, but still immersed in the extraordinary setting of the Dolomites. For those running with their families, the Organising Committee provides an entertainment service for children aged three and over, available for the entire duration of the stages. It is also possible to participate in a single stage by registering directly at the start.

In the 2023 edition, the following dominated the race, winning all five stages: Antonino Lollo, from Bergamo but of Sicilian origin and Italian SM35 marathon champion, and Pamela Gabrielli, from ASD Runforever Aprilia and a former volleyball player, proved to have an edge over their opponents, leaving their mark on this prestigious competition.
