Val di Fassa CleanUP Days
Let's take care of our "home" together! From 27 September to 4 October, the valley will come alive with small, concrete gestures: you can contribute freely, at any time and with whomever you wish. Every gesture counts: make a difference every day!
Val di Fassa CleanUP Days involves residents and visitors in an initiative to raise awareness and promote shared care for the local area. How does it work?
- Pick up your free CleanUP Kit (stainless steel tongs and reusable bag) from a CleanUP Station at one of the valley's tourist offices
- Walk along a path, green area or corner of Val di Fassa that you love, paying attention to any litter (small, non-hazardous and easily disposable)
- Record your action on the CleanUP Map, an interactive map that shows in real time the areas cleaned up and the routes chosen by participants
- Take the collected waste to the disposal stations marked on the same map, where it will be sorted and disposed of correctly
The CleanUP Kit is not just for the event: the reusable and washable bags, together with the stainless steel tongs, can also be used on other occasions, so you can continue to take care of the environment whenever you want.
An event for everyone
Participation is free and open to all adults: valley residents, guests, associations, schools, companies and service providers. The more of us there are, the greater the positive impact on the environment and the community. Minors may only take part under the responsibility and direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
The activity is carried out independently: each person is free to decide the times, places and methods of their waste collection activity, taking full responsibility for themselves and any accompanying persons.
It is recommended that collection be carried out only in safe and accessible areas, avoiding inaccessible, dangerous or impassable places.
Any bulky or hazardous waste, or waste that requires specialised equipment or expertise (e.g. asbestos, chemical materials, waste oil, heavy metal waste, etc.), must be reported to the local council.
The waste collected must be disposed of by those participating in the initiative exclusively in the appropriate bins or municipal collection centres (CRM) in accordance with the local rules on separate waste collection. Please do not dispose of waste at other unauthorised points and do not pile up the waste collected in unsuitable areas or leave it unattended.
It is advisable to wear clothing and equipment suitable for the activity (sturdy shoes, gloves, clothing suitable for the weather conditions).
Who organises it
The Val di Fassa CleanUP Days are promoted by the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, in collaboration with the non-profit association Patron e.V..
Why participate
Val di Fassa CleanUP Days is not just an event, but an invitation to take care of nature every day. It is a team effort: step by step, side by side, we can contribute to a more sustainable future and an increasingly welcoming valley.
