From the village of Carpeneda
(Located at Carpeneda 34, near B&B Longanorbait), we follow the signs for Rio Cavallo and Guardia, the “Painted Village”, descending a rather steep forest road.
After crossing the Rio Cavallo, we gradually start to climb through the woods, enjoying a different perspective of the town of Folgaria.
The forest road continues at altitude until it reaches the Rio Mous waterfall; after another twenty minutes of ups and downs, we arrive at the stunning Hofentol Waterfall.
A short additional stretch of about 10 minutes (with both ascents and descents) leads us to the village of Guardia, where we can enjoy its charm and explore the secrets of its open-air museum.
For the return, we recommend taking the same route back, for a total duration of about 3 hours.
