Ten years ago, for the first time in history, humanity managed to "listen" to the Universe. It happened when two black holes collided in the depths of space, far away from us. We saw nothing — but we detected a signal: a gravitational wave, a tiny ripple in the fabric of space itself.
During this first special evening dedicated to the Universe, we will talk about what gravitational waves are, how they are detected, and why their discovery has forever changed astronomy. A fascinating story filled with great mysteries and extraordinary discoveries — helping us understand how we can now hear what we once could only imagine.
At the end of the evening, weather permitting, we’ll look up at the Moon and observe it through telescopes, ending our journey with one of the most captivating presences in the night sky.
