The music festival in the mountains
Among the meadows on the ridge south of the summit of Paganella, where lakes can be seen on one side and the outlines of rock walls and bell towers can be picked out among the moving fog and clouds on the other. It’s part of the central chain of the Brenta Dolomites.
In the middle Foy Vance, a singer-songwriter who is inspired by the rich musical history of the Southern United States
His self-released debut album Hope came out in 2007 and quickly won plaudits from fans and his fellow musicians. His second album, Joy of Nothing, received a great deal of critical praise and led to invitations to tour all over the world from huge stars such as Ed Sheeran, Bonnie Raitt, Snow Patrol and Elton John.
Foy was the second artist to sign with Ed Sheeran’s label Gingerbread Man Records. He has also collaborated with Sheeran on a number of tracks. In 2020 Foy launched The Vinyl Supper, a podcast series during which he discusses music, food and life stories with special guests and friends from the music, poetry and film worlds.
