ALPITUDINI captures and combines different dimensions of the mountain experience. It’s a blend of mountain living moods: Altitude, Attitude, and Solitude, and it tells the story of the Alpe Cimbra’s identity. It reflects the physical dimension of the mountains, but also the idea of aspiration and growth. The mindset and strength needed to live in the mountains, as well as the sense of isolation and introspection they can offer. Alpitudini is a journey of growth – both personal and collective – where the mountain becomes a metaphor for challenge, discovery, connection to roots, and contemplation. Echo In is the new participatory art project it's the result of the project “Fragments of LIFE” funded by the PNRR Spoke 6 - iNEST. The project leader is the Verona company MWD together with Green Land community cooperative of Alpe Cimbra and the tourism promotion company Alpe Cimbra, inauguration scheduled in Lavarone on Sunday, July 27 at 10:30 AM at the Drago Vaia Regeneration artwork.
A collective artwork that arises from the memory of those who participate.
With Echo In, the artist Marco Martalar will give life to the first unique installation of its kind: a living artwork, built from the personal stories of those who wish to leave a mark, enclosed in many small "guardians" fragments. The first work will be created using these very fragments. A project that unites art, technology, and participation, transforming pieces of wood into guardians of emotions, memories, and identity.
At the heart of Echo In is a powerful idea: to give physical form to the collective narrative. Each participant can acquire a unique fragment – a “scale” in wood containing a microchip – and access a reserved digital space where they can upload their own contribution: a text, an image, a sound, a memory, which will be stored inside the chip and integrated into the artwork.
The sculpture – which will be created by Martalar, already known for his imposing naturalistic creations like the Drago Vaia – will consist of hundreds of fragments and will grow with every new story collected. An installation that constitutes a sensitive archive and shared narrative, where every voice finds space and resonance.

With Echo In contemporary art becomes participatory experience, collective rite, tangible memory. An open invitation to all – citizens, travelers, young people, families – to contribute with their voice to the construction of a work that speaks of the present, the fragility, and the beauty of shared existence.
The future of Echo In envisions the possibility for other municipalities, public or private institutions to become the leaders of other Echo In works in Italy, in Europe, and around the world.
