A male choir that reinvents the French and Occitan mountain vocal tradition, intertwining it with contemporary sounds and unexpected arrangements
I Suoni delle Dolomiti are unique encounters between music, nature and silence. In a theatre without walls, where the landscape becomes the stage, artists and audience share the journey and the act of listening. Harmonies intertwine with the breath of the mountains, in an experience that exists only here and now.

Programme
Between the Lagorai mountain range, the wildest in Trentino, and the Dolomites of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Park, at Malga Canvere - in a landscape of mountain huts, coniferous forests and rolling pastures - the original sound workshop of Les Mécanos comes to life: ten male voices from France, united by a deep friendship and a shared passion for singing and oral tradition. Since 2018, they have been exploring and reinventing the mountain and Occitan vocal tradition, reviving folk songs of work, resistance and celebration, reinterpreted with great expressive power. Their powerful and engaging polyphonies blend with percussive sounds produced not only by conventional instruments, but also by workshop tools: wrenches, wheel rims, exhaust pipes and other objects taken from the mechanical world and transformed into instruments of rhythm and narration. The result is visceral, physical, communal music: a sound journey that springs from the earth and resonates in the deepest chords of collective emotion. From songs of struggle to dance rhythms, the voice returns to being a gesture, a ritual and a shared alliance.
How to get to the Malga Canvere:
- from Moena, by car till Alpe Lusia lifts (parking lot in the resort "Ronchi"), then by gondola till "Le Cune" and on foot along paths no. 614 and no. 623 (walking time 1 hr 30 mins)
- from Predazzo, by car till Bellamonte (parking lot in the resort "Castelìr"), then with the lifts "Castelìr" and "Le Fassane" and on foot along path no. 623 (walking time 20 mins)
Admission to the concert is free. It is possible to take part in an excursion with the Trentino Alpine Guides: € 15 adults; free for children up to 8 years. 20% reduction for Trentino Guest Card holders. We recommend arriving at the venue at least one hour before the start. Please wear clothing suitable for the altitude.
In case of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Palafiemme in Cavalese.
