The approach of the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan and Cortina has inspired themes related to winter sports, sporting performance and life during the winter months. The winter exhibition project at Pergine Castle takes up these suggestions and addresses the theme from a completely new perspective: the recovery of historical memories, pioneering practices and the birth of a form of hospitality that has become the hallmark of tourism in Trentino over time.
The Pergine Castle Foundation ETS has organised an exhibition linked to the aims and objectives of “Combinazioni (combinations)_sporting characters". The exhibition addresses new themes such as the birth of skiing on the slopes of Pergine Castle and the subsequent transformation of the imposing medieval manor into a tourist accommodation facility, starting as early as 1910. Historical photographs, unpublished documents, period objects, oral testimonies and evocative reconstructions of environments, accompanied by paintings by Edoardo Orrasch, Tomaso Marcolla and Gianluigi Rocca, invite visitors on a journey through time to discover a past that should not be forgotten.
Admission is free – second floor of the Baronial Palace.
Donations are welcome to support the cultural activities of the Castelpergine Foundation.
The exhibition will continue until 26 April 2026 and can be visited by sending a message on WhatsApp (+39 320 3368440).
