"Display" is a word that hides the typical ambiguity of Anglo-Saxon terms. It means "show" and "screen" at the same time. And it is in fact, at the same time, the exhibition of the Fondazione Caritro Art Collection and the digital tool thanks to which every person can access it.
Display is a journey that organizes the experience into three interconnected moments. The first, the Reflection, is a story in numbers of the Collection.
The second, Diving, provides an interface for digital exploration of the Collection. The last, Creation, is a space in which everyone can build – even physically – their own selection.
Display is an experimental project, a reflection on accessibility as a strategy for the enhancement of art. It is a journey that provides the tools to understand the size, complexity and depth of the Fondazione Caritro Art Collection.
Display is, above all, an archive of digitized and indexed works that today allows full access to the Collection and invites each person to create endless interpretations.
