At the Science Museum - MUSE of Trento from March to May 2025.
It is called "Circle of Science" and is the new muse project that, from March to May, will take care of the well-being, culture and active life of the participants, mainly people over sixty, or retired. A wide range of proposals that take advantage of the Monday afternoon, with the museum closed and a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, to stimulate the mind and the desire to know and create opportunities for socialising and continuous learning. The program consists of two parts, the first of which is more focused on well-being, with the proposal of some appointments designed to nourish the body, awaken the senses and take care of the mind. The second, of a scientific-cultural nature, proposes a cycle of meetings to explore the themes of nature, science and technology in an engaging and interactive way.
The progressive ageing of the population represents one of the great challenges of the 21st century and the latest OECD survey indicates that our country is, at European level, the one with the highest proportion of people over 65 years of age.
The relationship between cultural participation and longevity is now well established and demonstrated by a large body of evidence, studies and research that attest to the benefits of culture on health and well-being, in particular of older people, improving their sense of self-esteem and promoting social interactions.
In a nutshell, it seems that practicing an active and culturally engaged life is able to "extend life", as well as significantly improve it.
This is why the MUSE, in a similar way to what has already been developed for other sensitive population groups, ideas and proposes a cycle of meetings and guided tours ad hoc, stimulating and of sure interest to always stay... in step with the times.
Wellness programme
All Mondays from 17 March to 14 April 2025
A path to immerse yourself in the world of wellness through multi-sensory experiences: test yourself with games designed to stimulate the mind; take part in a water tasting to explore its unique characteristics; stroll through the gardens of the museum and learn about the world of medicinal and aromatic plants; finally, participate in a meeting with experts to learn the principles of healthy eating and participate in a tasting of extra virgin olive oil. A cycle of appointments designed to nourish the body, awaken the senses and take care of the mind.
Culture programme
Every Monday from 28 April to 26 May 2025
A series of meetings to explore the themes of nature, science and technology in an engaging way: explore the universe in the museum's Planetarium; participate in meetings and dialogues on the theme of large carnivores in Trentino; deepen the theme of Artificial Intelligence, between potential and fears; walk in the museum's tropical mountain forest and discover tropical beetles; finally, visit the interactive exhibition "Food Sound. The hidden sound of food" and discover the relationship between sounds and food.
