Carnival Party
Pozza celebrates Shrove Thursday with a masked parade of primary school children and Carnival party in the square
The afternoon of Fat Thursday is dedicated to children. Starting from the square "Piaza de Sèn Nicolò" in Pozza at 2.45 p.m., the children parade through the streets of the village wearing masks until they reach the square "Piaza de Comun", where the party really gets going with baby dance and a sweet snack. Princesses, knights, clowns, harlequins, superheroes, animals, tradesmen, characters from films, fairy tales and cartoons: who will wear the most original costume? From 3.45 to 6 p.m., you can participate in the workshop of the "Bufon", one of the main characters of the Ladin Carnival, easily recognisable by his pointed hat decorated with flowers and coloured ribbons, the "facera" on his face with a red pendant on his nose, a telescope ("cucalòch") and a wooden stick ("stica") in his hand.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge and no registration is required.
