From August 4 to 13, 2025 | Altopiano della Vigolana

Now in its sixth edition, Al riparo degli alberi — a theater and nature festival for new generations — continues to rethink and redefine itself, returning to the original ideas that accompanied its birth and still young journey. Moreover, it expands beyond its traditional summer scope to include spring and autumn, aiming to give the project continuity by especially involving schools and opening spaces for research and dialogue with other groups engaged in artistic research and production at the intersection of theater and nature.

The sixth edition of Al riparo degli alberi thus returns to its origins and, in a time marked by new anxieties and challenges, presents itself as a space, tool, and experience of sharing. It will be an edition characterized by celebration and meeting. There is a need for creative energy and a full life. Therefore, our program focuses on engaging and participatory performances designed for children and youth, emphasizing intergenerational and inclusive values; shows where the environment is the protagonist, not just a backdrop.

The relationship with the landscape remains central in our project, and for this reason, workshops and meetings in schools and a nature theater workshop for teenagers are planned.

Our research on storytelling of the territory continues, aiming to build over time an imaginary, poetic, and metaphysical map to dialogue with the physical and concrete one, supported by collaboration with scientific communicators, mountain guides, forest rangers, and Wondering Project APS.

Performances will take place from August 4 to 13, 2025, in various villages of the Altopiano della Vigolana.

For each performance, participants will arrive together either by walking or cycling thanks to the collaboration with the Mountain Bike School Vigolana.

• 04.08.25 | Parco di Bosentino – Show Circo Palacinca
  Itinerant circus show in collaboration with the Mountain Bike School Vigolana.

• 08.08.25 | Baito dei Cacciatori (Vigolo Vattaro) – Show E venne la notte
  Night performance with stories of witches, elves, and mysterious creatures in collaboration with the Vigolo Vattaro Hunters Association.

• 11.08.25 | Il leprotto bisestile (Bosentino) – Show L’elefantino
  Storytelling show that has traveled the world thanks to the Ambassador project.

• 13.08.25 | Località Frisanchi (Centa San Nicolò) – Show Gocce, liocorni e arcobaleni
  An animation for children and adults. A celebration for all ages discovering simple games with strong visual and emotional impact.
