On August 6th at Base Tuono, the 80th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki will be commemorated with the inauguration of the exhibition “Hiroshima and Nagasaki”, curated by Maurizio Struffi, dedicated to the end of World War II. Following the exhibition, there will be a presentation of the book “From Hiroshima to the Wooden Atomics” by Alberto Mario Carnevale and Eugenio Ferracin, which explores the historical and technological impact of the atomic bombs. 80th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Exhibition and Book Presentation at Base Tuono
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a commemorative exhibition titled "Hiroshima and Nagasaki", curated by Maurizio Struffi, will be inaugurated on Wednesday, August 6th at 11:00 AM at Base Tuono – Passo Coe.
The exhibition offers a historical and visual reflection on the end of World War II and the devastating impact of the atomic bombs that brought the conflict between the United States and Japan to an end.
Following the inauguration, there will be a presentation of the book "From Hiroshima to the Wooden Atomics", written by Alberto Mario Carnevale, Air Force General in the Reserve, and Eugenio Ferracin, electronics expert. The work explores the geopolitical and technological consequences of the nuclear arms race.
An event to remember and to reflect on the value of peace and historical memory.
