Patacoss-Nambino “barrier-free” trail

Lago Nambino is now accessible to everyone, including people with different abilities. Located just above Madonna di Campiglio, it is among the most charming spots in Trentino.

Located at 1718 meters altitude, the lake, overlooking the splendid Rifugio Nambino, is the starting point for numerous hikes, including the famous 5 Lakes circuit: Lago Ritorto, Lago Lambin, Lago Serodoli, Lago Gelato, and then Lago Nambino.

Access to this enchanted corner of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, car-free, is possible in two ways: from Malga Patascoss, in 45 minutes' walk along a mostly flat path, or climbing from the lower Nambino plateau, in about an hour with a slight ascent.

The trail starts at località Patascoss, where it is possible to park your car. Patascoss is also reachable by cable car departing from Campiglio-Colarin station. Lago di Nambino itself represents a very appreciated destination for hikers. The trail leading to the lake, although semi-flat or with slight gradients, had a rough surface and was therefore difficult to travel for people with motor difficulties.
