Where the water has marked history

As you reach the Soraga lake oasis, on this circular journey around the Avisio, can you imagine the voice of the Fairy Moena whispering among the leaves to inspire the ancient Ladin art of wood?

Perhaps it is here that the whims of fairies were born, which continue to inspire the relentless work of wood craftsmen. Between pink sunsets and drops of dew and river water, the imagination of the Ladins has been nourished by the art of nature, to translate into wood the symbols of their tradition. Fairy tales, legends, living matter that endures, carrying the fabric of the forest into the future. This relaxing walk along both banks of the river allows you to make a journey into the ancient art of woodcarvers and engravers. Generation after generation, here, wood art has expressed itself in all its forms, to remain. Along the way, the scent of grass and flowers of the earth glides over the notes of water, making way, step by step, for a new discovery. Inhabited huts and green farm stays, past and present of mountain dwellings, and then the wooden games that tell stories that have always enchanted. While you walk, it is the body of the trees, everywhere, breathing with you.
