Ski mountaineering on a glacier is a dimension of its own, where everything - proportions, lights, distances - seems expanded and different.

This proposal structured over two days allows you to step gently into this fascinating world, without major technical difficulties and with limited physical effort, thanks to the use of the lifts that from Passo del Tonale climb almost to 3000m.

    Author’s recommendation

Possibly on the second day it is possible to cross towards Passo Venezia and take the very long descent of Pisgana down to Ponte di Legno.

    Equipment

For winter mountain excursions, appropriate clothing is recommended even in case of sudden drops in temperature. Gloves, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen should also be part of the usual equipment. It is also important to have suitable footwear that keeps your feet warm and does not get wet in contact with the snow.

For tours on snowy terrain, it is also advisable to always have an avalanche self-rescue kit, consisting of ARTVA-shovel-probe (which can also be rented).
