SAT / E451 - Folgaria - Monte Cornetto

Classic and well-known route leading to Monte Cornetto, starting from the center of Folgaria. In the first part, the path climbs the southern slope of the mountain, covered by a dense fir forest. Once at altitude, the panoramic views are spectacular. It connects to route E425 which leads to Bècco di Filadonna.

The path - managed by the local SAT section/marked as E451 - starts from the center of Folgaria, near the Case del Miele store, 100 m east of the Town Hall. After crossing the communal road della Pineta, it follows the forest road "Fontanelle" which passes through clearings and mixed forest, towards Maso Strìccheri. After passing the farmhouse, it continues through the forest; then, after crossing a ski slope, it reaches a crossroads at 1435 m near a fountain called "Acqua delle Fontanelle." The path continues through the forest until it emerges onto the pastures of the former Malga Cornetto di Dentro. No remains of the hut are visible - altitude 1597 m. Here, coming from the right, the forest road from Passo del Sommo arrives and continues to the Rifugio Paradiso hotel. From here, we climb left on a new path, then turn right and return to the grassy ridge (former ski slope). With a steeper incline, follow signs that higher up lead right, entering the forest and then emerging again into the open, where on the ridge the small road enters the forest again. From here it climbs further, passing among mugo pine stretches up to 1970 m, where on the right you leave trail 425B dedicated to "Giovanni Gentilini." A diagonal towards the west is made and the SE ridge of Cornetto di Folgaria is reached, connecting to trails 425-453, a short distance from the summit.
