On the trail of Ciampy

Love for the mountains is also built by learning about the creatures that inhabit them. Reach Ciampac by cable car and make a pact with Ciampy, the chamois mascot of the basin.

The starting point of this high-altitude route, also suitable for children from 6 years old, is the panoramic point of Sela Brunéch at 2428 m altitude. From here, the view opens onto the Sella group and its highest peak, Piz Boè, the south face of the Marmolada and the entire Catinaccio massif. If you have taken the instruction booklet at the info-point of the Ciampark hut, you can set off in search of Ciampy, the mascot of Ciampac, to get to know him and become friends. Chamois live in the mountains and move freely on these ridges, but it is not easy to approach them and learn their secrets. Along this path leading you to Pian de Sele, you can test yourself, together with your children, by trying to solve a series of quizzes that will reveal how well you know Ciampy and how to remain friends and in contact on all your future hikes.
