On Monte Maggio, Italy's peak - bis
Beautiful route that climbs the broad north slope of Monte Maggio, a height on which, until 1918, ran the Austro-Italian border. From the large cross, which commemorates the fallen of the Great War, on clear days you can see the reflection of the sun on the Venice lagoon. From here you have one of the widest and most exciting views of Lower Trentino.
It is a classic, one of the most renowned routes of Alpe Cimbra. It is not exactly a walk, as the elevation gain to overcome is about 300 m. However, the effort of the ascent is compensated by the beauty of the pastures and fir forests that cover the mountain and by the splendid panorama that opens from the summit.
