Monte Mulaz route
Route around the majestic Monte Mulaz through the splendid scenery of the Dolomites
This route circles the majestic Monte Mulaz, in the Pale di San Martino Group, and is rarely crowded, despite being one of the most fascinating routes of all the Dolomites. The path initially winds along the emerald Val Venegia, which soon offers breathtaking views of the vertical walls of Cimon della Pala, Cima Vezzana, and Bureloni. It then climbs to the base of the majestic and imposing Dolomite walls of Campanile di Valgrande and Cima Focobon, near Passo di Mulaz. After reaching Rifugio Volpi al Mulaz, the last stretch of this circular route passes under the green Cima Venegiota, where there is a return pass into Val Venegia. An immensely rewarding route for experienced hikers. From Rifugio Volpi al Mulaz you can climb up to the incredible summit of Monte Mulaz (2903 m), a panoramic balcony offering unique views; however, this section requires careful footing and good mountain trekking experience.
