Moena - Alpe Lusia - Sas da Mesodì

<p>Easy circular route that allows you to reach Sas da Mesodì, a little frequented peak from which you can enjoy a splendid view of Val di Fassa. </p>

<p>From Moena reach the start of the Lusia cable car in Ronchi locality (I Ronc). Using the lifts, climb to "Le Cune" at 2,200 m. Take path no. 614 which follows much of the ski slope. Down a steep ramp descend into the basin below Monte Viezzena. Shortly after the junction with path no. 622, the route heads decisively west to enter the mountain incision called Sforcela de Pozil, at 2,151 m. From here, to conquer the summit of Sas da Mesodì, slightly descend and turn right along a path that, through some grassy slopes, rises to reach the watershed connecting Col de Poza to Sas da Mesodì. Continue, almost along the ridge, to reach the summit at 2,299 m. To enjoy the view of Moena and the southwestern part of Val di Fassa it is better to descend a few dozen meters and move towards the mountain ridge. Return to Valbona by the "Soldiers' Path" (Troi dei Soldai) which steeply descends eastwards and following its wide curves, exit the forest near the intermediate station of the cable car.</p>
