Loop between Pian delle Fugazze and Campogrosso via the suspension bridge

Scenic circular route that goes from Pian delle Fugazze towards the Ossuary of Pasubio and the famous suspension bridge (also called Tibetan bridge), up to the return from Campogrosso

A gentle and panoramic route that embraces the Piccole Dolomiti between Monte Baffelan and Monte Cornetto, starting from Pian delle Fugazze or Alpe di Campogrosso. This easy and accessible circular route follows an ancient road now closed to traffic, perfect for a peaceful walk immersed in nature.

The emotional heart of the route is the AVIS suspension bridge, a metal walkway connecting the two sides of the valley with a breathtaking aerial view. It is not a Tibetan bridge in the technical sense, but it evokes strong emotions, especially for those who have some fear of heights. Crossing it is safe, and the satisfaction felt on the other side is worth every step.

The bridge is dedicated to the Italian Blood Volunteers Association (AVIS), in memory of a tragic accident that occurred in 1956, when a minibus with 27 people fell into a ravine due to bad weather. That day, the generosity of the population and the solidarity in donating blood saved lives and gave rise to the AVIS section of Schio. Today, the bridge is a symbol of memory and altruism.

The arrival at Campogrosso offers an open landscape, dominated by the vertical walls of the Piccole Dolomiti. Those who wish can explore a small circular trail with testimonies of the Great War, set among woods and rocks.

Comfortable, safe, and rich in history, the AVIS Bridge Loop is perfect for those looking for a walk that combines emotion, landscape, and reflection. Ideal for families, curious hikers, and anyone wanting to experience the mountain in a relaxed but meaningful way.
