Lake Ritort - Malga Valchestria - Malga Ritort
High-altitude route with enchanting views of the Brenta Dolomites, moderately demanding, from Lake Ritort to Malga Valchestria and descent to the typical Malga Ritort.
<p>Particularly panoramic and very rewarding excursion.</p> <p>From Lake Ritort (altitude 2055 m), easily reachable from the arrival of the 5 Lakes cable car, follow the continuously undulating trail that leads to the ruins of Malga della Pozza dei Garzoni. From here, continue to Pian dei Mughi along a trail that is a true panoramic terrace over the Brenta Dolomites, in a picturesque environment where it is not unlikely to encounter chamois and roe deer. The pastures around Malga Valchestria (1858 m) are an ideal spot for a picnic and a rest before retracing the trail back to the junction that leads to Malga Ritort.</p> <p>Possible variant from Valchestria to S.A. di Mavignola passing through the Clemp farms, thus avoiding the return to Malga Ritort.</p>
