Lago di Cei – Prà dall’Albi
The walk between the two lakes

The walk allows you to discover a remarkable variety of ecosystems: the pond, the peat bog, the beech forest are just some examples.

The protected area includes two large basins. The first hosts two lakes, Lago di Cei and a smaller one called Lagabis. Continuing in the part of the Cei valley that descends north towards Cimone and Aldeno, two peaty areas are encountered.

The second basin is smaller and separated from the first by a line of hills. It hosts a swamp-lake of great naturalistic interest, known as "Prà dell'Albi" or "Lago di San Martino".

Over the centuries these places have been subject to continuous human presence with very different peoples who have succeeded each other over time leaving important traces of their passage. A notable testimony is the church of San Martino in Trasiel, reachable by a short detour from the ring of the route.
