Hike to “Val del Parol”
Orchids, lilies, and gentians in the wildest part of Monte Baldo
<p>The route starts from Rifugio Graziani and is an easy walk through the pastures of <a href="https://www.visitrovereto.it/en/discover/territory/local-nature-park-of-monte-baldo/">Monte Baldo</a> to Malga Campo. From there, ascending, you reach Bocca Paltrane and then descend on the opposite side to venture into the wild Val del Parol.</p> <p>Here, from May to July, the precious blooms of Monte Baldo will accompany you along the route to Rifugio Campei. Look for small hidden gems in the fields such as the red lily, small blue gentians, and orchids that brighten the landscape with their colors, along with green shrubs like rhododendron and bilberry. On the rocks, you can find one of the rarest mountain flowers, the silver geranium.</p> <p>The return is semi-flat with some splendid views of the <a href="https://www.visitrovereto.it/en/discover/territory/brentonico-the-gem-of-baldo/">Brentonico plateau</a>.</p>
