Great War route 2
<p>A route of historical, natural, and scenic interest. It allows a visit to some testimonies of the First World War (1914-1918) present in the Carbonare area, such as the Elble military hospital, the Virti sector command, and the frontline trenches of Guazcovel.</p>
<p>Easy to follow, it takes place in a natural environment of great beauty dominated by the unmistakable profile of the Bècco di Filadonna. It winds through pastures and coppice woods, between 1,000 and 1,100 m above sea level, passing through the ancient Virti estate. It is mainly on path and dirt road.</p>
