Giants Trail
A lush forest with an unusual concentration of white fir trees that, thanks to the area's microclimate, are unusually large and imposing. This is the forest context in which the Giants of the Forest route develops.

The educational and naturalistic path called "Giants Trail" is named after the presence, along the route, of some of the oldest and most majestic trees of the plateaus. The famous Avez del Prinzep, which fell in 2017, at 52.15 meters high and 5.09 m in circumference, was the largest white fir tree in the Alpine arc. Its heirs are no less impressive, and, together with many other specimens of red spruce, form a natural park of rare beauty, worthy of admiration and preservation. The trail winds on a slope rich in biodiversity, offering picturesque landscape glimpses that invite reflection on the forest, its ecosystem, and the impact of humans on the surrounding environment (as in the case of the Casermette and the Costalta cemetery).

The complete route, marked in green, is a relatively demanding walk, not so much for technical difficulty but for the elevation change. It is a loop of about 7 km, with a walking time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The walk involves 450 meters of ascent and descent, connecting the lowest point at 1200 meters to the highest at 1500.
