This route starts at the Santa Massenza hydroelectric power station and passes Lake Toblino, Sarche, Lake Cavedine, Madruzzo, and Lake Santa Massenza. While on this tour, you will also get to admire two beautiful castles: Toblino Castle, which is located on a peninsula in the Toblino Lake, and Madruzzo Castle, which is perched above the village of the same name. In addition to the various lakes that you will come across during your ride, there is also sprawling countryside that is home to the vines grown to make famous Vino Santo. This tour also offers numerous wine tasting options at local wineries. Once you reach Lake Cavedine, you will head towards Lasino and then Madruzzo to enter Val di Cavedine. From here, you will continue through vineyards and charming villages before returning to Padergone and eventually finishing the route by following Lake Santa Massenza round in the direction of the hydroelectric power station. In Santa Massenza you will also get the chance to sample and purchase some local grappa.

    Author’s recommendation

We recommend stopping off at one of the wine cellars along the way to sample some delicious local wines. Make sure to try some famous Vino Santo!

Riding your bike requires specific clothing and equipment, even for relatively short and easy trips. It is always better to be prepared… e.g. for bad weather or a sudden drop in your energy levels. The unexpected things are part of the fun!

Remember to thoroughly evaluate the type of route you plan on doing, the locations you intend to cross and the current season. Has it been raining? Attention: The paths may be slippery and require more caution.

    • Plenty of snacks (for example, dried fruit or energy bars)
