DBT Stage 4: Rifugio Tuckett - Rifugio ai Brentei

The fourth stage of the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek starts from the Rifugio Tuckett and leads to the Rifugio Brentei.

The Rifugio Maria and Alberto ai Brentei (m. 2182) stands on a large grassy area in the central part of the Brenta and is strategically positioned with respect to the classic via ferrata hikes of the Group. Its location is unmatched for the grandiosity of the surrounding environment: vertical walls of the Punte di Campiglio and Cima Mandron rise from the grassy expanse, and behind it descends the icy wall of the Canalone Neri which connects the Crozzon di Brenta to Cima Tosa.
From 1949 for decades, the refuge was managed by the great Trentino mountaineer Bruno Detassis (1910 – 2008). As a guide and climber, he was generous with advice and help to generations of alpinists passing through this refuge. Following the motto “search for the easy in the difficult” he opened the most beautiful and at the same time difficult routes of the Dolomites, such as the elegant “Via delle Guide” that climbs Crozzon di Brenta.
