Complete tour of Monte Ghello (long version)
Easy but long walk, also suitable for families with children used to walking, around Monte Ghello starting from Rovereto Castle in the city centre
The easy route starts from Via Castelbarco near Rovereto Castle, with the only steep climb at the beginning, before ending up on the historic 'Strada Vecia'. Passing the ancient settlements of Valteri and Campolongo on a cobbled road, you pass the 'Abitalbero' playground and the village of Zaffoni.

Higher up you reach the entrance to an old tunnel with a Great War cannon post and a splendid panorama.

Descending from the main route marked as the "Giro del Monte Ghello" (tour of Monte Ghello) you can also catch a glimpse of ancient abandoned stone quarries, while at the top of the mountain there is a cross surrounded by a suggestive panorama. After enjoying the beautiful view of the Adige Valley and the surrounding mountains, we arrive at the characteristic village of Toldi, from where we then descend towards the historic centre of Rovereto.
