Cherle route

Short and panoramic walk on the summit of dosso Cherle, in the eastern part of the Alpe di Folgaria. We are at 1440 m altitude, on the edge of the wide plateau of the Fiorentini, among large pastures and extensive spruce forests. A point of interest is Forte Cherle, a fortress from the Great War (1914-1918). The view is spectacular!

The route does not present particular difficulties. It is short but allows a visit to Forte Cherle, an Austro-Hungarian fortress that during the conflict was called Werk Sebastiano. From the small square, there is a wide panoramic view of the upper Astico valley, the village of San Sebastiano, and monte Cornetto. In the background, the unmistakable profile of Bècco di Filadonna.
