On the tracks of the ancient marshy plain of Soreghes

A walk for everyone around the two banks of the Avisio, where Dolomite excursions famous in alpinism history start in all seasons.

From Campitello, the valley's first alpine tourist center, to Canazei, a gem for all mountain lovers in summer and winter, you have the chance to enter the scenery of the Marmolada, Sassolungo, and Sella, bringing even the little ones with you. The walk is a gentle circular route that circles the two banks of the Avisio, in an environment that once resembled a marshy plain. Canazei, in fact, comes from the Latin term cannacetum, meaning reed bed. Along the way, partly on the forest edge, there are many opportunities to stop and be distracted. Around the plain of Soreghes you will see paragliders and hang gliders landing, and near the start of the Col Rodella cable car, there is a sports area with a climbing gym, summer adventure park, playground, and refreshment point.
