Canazei - Alba - Penìa

An easy loop walk that runs along the orographic right and left of the Avisio river, connecting Canazei to the hamlets of Alba and Penìa. 

Starting from the water centre Dòlaondes, take the dirt road behind the ski school building, until you come out of the village near the bridge "Pènt de la Roa". Before the bridge turn left onto the asphalt road (called Strèda dò Veisc) running close along the Avisio river. The track, which is mostly even, alternates shady little woods and open areas. Approximately half-way you reach a weel-equipped playground for children. From here get onto the national road at the beginning of Penìa, near the bridge over the Avisio river. Go back to Canazei crossing this bridge to the right and go down the left bank of the torrent. Pass by the ice stadium and cross the bridge on the right. Come back along the same itinerary up to the bridge "Pènt de la Roa". Cross it and then follow the walk itinerary called "Ciasates" on the left hand side. The path passes through woods, meadows, gentle downhill stretches, and leads back to Canazei. Once you are near the ski lift, cross a boardwalk and get back to the start.
