The proposed excursion takes place at the eastern end of the long Lagorai chain, right in front of the Dolomite group of the Pale di S.Martino. The route is a loop touching all exposures, with a rather steep ascent in a couloir facing South (therefore to be done with settled snow and not too high temperatures), and an exciting descent on the North side, which almost always offers nice powder snow. The use of the lifts is not mandatory but allows saving 700m of elevation gain, making the route much more accessible.

    Safety information

This route requires settled snow, especially for the initial traverse and the ascent couloir (45° slope) fully exposed to the South.

As you can imagine, the viability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting off, check the condition of the route by contacting the hut managers on your route, alpine guides, visitor centers of nature parks, and tourist offices.
